Welcome to the Mother Teresa School website. Our school is a new school in Canberra in the northern suburb of Harrison. We are one of three schools in the Holy Spirit parish and a campus of Good Shepherd Amaroo.
As a Catholic School we accept members of other faith traditions who support our ethos. Our motto “do small things with great love” provides us with a framework of service and grounds us in our mission to provide the best education possible for the children in our care.
Mother Teresa School (MTS) has a purpose built Early Learning Centre providing preschool education for children turning 4 before April 30. We currently have five groups of preschool children. The ELC provides before and after school care for children up the age of eight years.
Mother Teresa School has children enrolled in all year levels up to and including Year 5 with Year 6 in 2014. Children enjoy a varied curriculum with a specialist music teacher and Indonesian language and culture being taught in all Year levels. There is a real sense of community at MTS with parents and teachers working in a real partnership to assist the children with their learning.
The buildings are bright and attractive with the design offering a flexible learning environment. The building boasts an array of energy saving devices including movement sensor lighting; recycled water collected from the roof and naturally cooled learning spaces for the children. Our hall is a well-used space and is used by the YMCA who provide high quality after school care programs each day.
Please enjoy the visit to the website and remember that Mother Teresa School is the place to be.
