This week, we have faced several staffing challenges and have had to split some classes due to staff absences and no relief staff. This is an ongoing issue across Canberra and Interstate. Next week we have staff supporting the Gungahlin Cross Country on Monday, and the Netball Gala Day on Tuesday. Once again classes will be split to allow teachers to attend and provided the required supervision. I will be attending the Term 2 overnight Principal Siloam Retreat on Monday afternoon and Tuesdayat Galong.

Thank you for your patience this week in the car park. The wet weather stretched the patience of everyone but we got there!  Thank you also to the few families who have purchased the sunviser signs, it really does make the teachers' job on carline so much easier.

The systems for Years 1 and 2 have arrived and will be installed in the first week on the holidays. They will provide after hour heating and then cooling in the summer. This will mean all classroom will have airconditioned for the summer months.

Parish Vinnies Pantry 

The four schools in the Holy Spirit Parish have been asked to support the donation of food items for the Parish pantry for those in need. The pantry is empty!

The Parish has requested the following items

• Canned Goods: Canned fruits, vegetables, soups, pasta, and tuna
• Bottle Goods: Pasta sauce, jams
• Grains: Rice, pasta, flour, oats, breakfast cereals
• Snacks: Crackers, granola bars, sweets, chips and dips
• Other: Honey, UHT milk, bottled water, soft drinks

Please add one of the items above to your shopping list over the weekend, if possible, and send it to the school on Monday. We will gather the items and then send them to the Parish.
